Good abstract art includes visual appeal to communicate a concept with significant meaning and intention. My art is an abstract representation of the Japanese Art of Kintsugi applied to the spiritual world of the chakras using the resonance of color.

Abstract paintings are also appreciated in terms of elements of art: color (value and chroma), shape, line, texture and use of space.

Each chakra is represented with its aura of color, In “Revival” orange is the color of the 2nd chakra, Svadisthana, located in the sacral plexus. This energy center is responsible for our self-esteem, creativity and sexuality.

A range of Orange hues and chroma give a visual story of the different aspects of this chakra with layers of texture that signify the many complexities of life’s journey as it relates to this chakra.

Kintsugi lines are drawn with the intention of unifying the various regions of the painting; with 23kt gold leaf to signify the mending of this chakra after an imperfect life experience or trauma.
